Christmas will be here before we know it, and with that comes baking and decorating Christmas cookies. What fun it is to get together with friends and family to decorate not only sugar cookies, but the famous Gingerbread cookies! I can smell them baking just thinking about it! Today, we are going to talk about decorating our home with enchanting Gingerbread decorations. Let’s get started…
These adorable Gingerbread houses were made from paper lunch bags. Can you believe how cute they are? I took the Gingerbread house stencil from Magnolia, https://bit.ly/3Iteju1 different colors of Chalk Paste, https://bit.ly/2XstAD1 and then used my regular squeegee and the paint brush squeegees, https://bit.ly/3oFZDdT https://bit.ly/3hP94o3 to apply the Chalk Paste. I folded the top over after cutting the edges to look like a Gingerbread roof! I punched two holes through the top and tied a bow with bakers twine to finish them off. Easy, inexpensive and oh- so-cute!!
I’m so excited that Magnolia has added a few new Gingerbread house stencils to their catalog! You can check out the Magnolia Winter Catalog for 2024 right here: https://bit.ly/476vjjH
Who doesn’t love to get a special tea towel as a hostess gift, OR hang up an adorable seasonal tea towel before guests arrive? I used the Magnolia tea towels, that come in a 2 pack, Coal Black ink, and some reusable Magnolia stencils. All of these items can be found here: magnoliadiy.com I am so please with how these turned out! What do you think?
Don’t you just love these ‘stuffies’ and brown craft paper scrolls (both small and large), that I made? These Gingerbread crafts can be used as ornaments and wall hangings. If you prefer green and red Christmas decor…by all means, go for it. These posts are meant to give you ideas and are not set in stone!! Magnolia has so many colors of Chalk Paste to choose from: https://bit.ly/2XstAD1 Tip: When using brown craft paper, I iron it first. It makes it so much easier to handle it and stencil on!
You know that I LOVE to create and hang banners on my fireplace mantel! This banner is made from Postal wrapping paper. This paper is thicker and hangs beautifully. Don’t the beads and mini houses in-between, make this look like you purchased it in a department store? So economical, yet so perfect!
