So fun & easy to make!

No-sew six section fabric pumpkins are so easy and fun to make.  You can use just about any kind of fabric.  I used a vintage white chenille popcorn bedspread that I found at Goodwill and a mix of fabric pieces from a decorator fabric sample book.  They come together so quickly and are so fabulous that they might be a little addicting!

Supplies:

Vintage Chenille Bedspread – Thrift Store or Online

Decorator Fabric Samples – Ask at Fabric Stores

Or Any Fabric You Like

Canvas Duck – Walmart, Hobby Lobby or other Fabric Store

Bling – Hiedi Scott’s Totally Dazzled Main Page – https://bit.ly/3NLrLuf

Wood Stems – Dollar Tree

Lace, Ribbon, Tulle, Doilies, etc – Various

Surebonder Cool Shot – Low Temp Hot Device Glue – Walmart Or Hobby Lobby

Polyfill – Walmart

My patterns:

Below is a photo of my super “low tech” patterns. I drew them on printer paper and then cut 6 pieces of each size. There is nothing precise about these so don’t feel like you have to cut your pieces the same sizes.

Instructions:

  1.  Select the fabrics you will want to use.  You can do all 6 pieces with the same fabric or use a mix of different fabrics.
  2. Cut 6 fabric pieces for each pumpkin.  The pieces are pointy oval shapes.  For the larger pumpkins the measurements at 10 inches long by 5 1/4 inches at the widest point.  For the smaller pumpkins the measurements are 8 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 at the widest point.
  3. Connect the pieces front side to front side with your choice of glue.  Leave one opening.  (See video if this is confusing).  You will then turn it right side out and fill it with Polyfill.
  4. Fold the edges over and glue the opening closed with right side to right side.  (This is hard to explain but I show it in my video tutorial).
  5. Embellish the tops with lace, ribbon, tulle, doilies, bling, buttons or whatever you like.
  6. Glue wood stem to the top.
  7. Admire your adorable no-sew six section fabric pumpkins and try not to make 50 more!

Here are my finished pumpkins!
